Use AWB with its stated limits

Agent Write Barrier is free software under the MIT License.

You may use, copy, modify, and distribute it under that license.

No warranty

The software is provided “as is,” without warranty. It reduces filesystem-write risk on supported Linux systems.

AWB does not make untrusted code safe. It does not isolate networks, processes, devices, or kernel flaws.

Your responsibility

Review policies and receipts. Keep backups and add a VM when your threat model needs stronger isolation.

Audit mode observes watched paths but cannot block writes. Its receipt clearly says audit-only.
